Okay, I’m still not getting a ton of reading done, but I did manage some book reviews. I even polished off some from the TBR stack, which feels really good. Unfortunately, I keep buying more at double the rate of completion … but I shall keep working on it.

- The Left Hand of Darkness is a classic of gender re-imagination and social-science fiction, well deserving its beautiful new Folio Society edition.
- Some classic Newbery award and honor books are back in print thanks to Dover Publications.

I still need to read Good Omens. I got halfway but at the time my mind wasn’t in it and I put it down. I really need to pick it back up and just restart.

My reading has slowed down too! Not sure why but life just is getting in the way more and more. I also am thinking to make a big blog change over in the new year to something focused on more than books! Good luck with that, its hard, the idea of starting over… ❤️

Audiobooks helped me increase my book consumption because they fit in times when I cant read easily like long car trips or when cooking/knitting/sewing/quilting. And the narrator performance can make them even better than reading sometimes.
I read many of Ursula LeGuin’s books about 30 years ago and really enjoyed them.

I have to admit, my concentration for audiobooks is so bad! I like the idea, but my attention drifts. I like them best when the author is also the narrator.

My TBR is huge too, but on the positive side, I never have nothing to read. I’ve been accepting more books for ARC review too, so I try to read one of the them in between my own pile. Favorite book of October was The City of Ghosts and it was my first V.E. Schwab book too.
